Everybody is looking for the shortcut to making money. However, what people don’t realize is that the shortcut is right in front of them! Making money is easy if you know what you’re doing. Money is an echo of value.
In the podcast, Does how many you serve equal how much you make?, Bob Burg discusses the realities of making money based off of ideas presented in his bestselling book, The Go-Giver. Burg emphasizes, “Money is an echo of value,” explaining, “The value comes first and the money you receive is a very natural result and very direct result of the value you have provided.” So the simple reality of making money in any industry is that money follows value. You will probably make money! But that money won’t last and the damage to your reputation may be irreparable.
